## What users report

The most glowing reports in this group: a large minority describe social anxiety or rumination 'just gone' within days, several on SSRIs or tapering benzos. Roughly 30-40% report nothing or 'very subtle', and there is a small but recurring tail of bad reactions (anxiety spikes, depressive dip, 'out of it') lasting days to occasionally weeks.

**Caveat:** No mechanistic red flag (GABA-A modulation, enkephalinase inhibition, IL-6 modulation), but Western-quality human data are thin. ## Risk profile

Two first-hand reports describe a depressive episode, one after a single dose, lasting weeks to months, both in people with prior burnout or serotonergic sensitivity: isolated and confounded.
- **Mechanism 1/3:** Thought to modulate GABA-A receptors allosterically and inhibit enkephalin breakdown; no pathway to serious harm is known, and the rebound anxiety some describe is speculative benzodiazepine-like adaptation rather than a demonstrated effect.
- **Data gap 1/3:** Approved in Russia since 2009 as over-the-counter 0.15% nasal drops (label adverse reactions: allergy and bad taste), on small controlled trials of 60-70 patients over weeks; FDA found too little information to judge it.
