- Sequence: GW (N-(6-phenylhexanoyl)-Gly-Trp amide; CCK-4 derived anxiolytic dipeptide)
- Safety tier: Strict: Caution · Balanced: Clean · Evidence only: Clean
- Risk axes (0 none to 3 severe): Seen harm 0, Mechanism 1, Data gap 1, Silent harm 1, Product 2
- Positive: 57% of 41 graded reports glowing or positive, shrunk toward the 49% all-report average by 8 reports' weight
- Rank: #3 of 61 research peptides
- Graded reports: 41 (Glowing 9, Positive 15, Mixed 6, Nothing 7, Negative 2, Bad reaction 2)
- Evidence: Approved drug — in Russia as Ranquilon; open randomized phase IV trial (2026, n=200) beat fabomotizole on anxiety response (63% vs 49%), mild side effects only. Earlier: uncontrolled pilot in 31 GAD patients.
- Access: Grey market
- Onset: Some feel it from the first doses; most users and the trials put clear anxiolysis at 1-2 weeks of daily use, still building to about 4 weeks.
- Lasts: Roughly 3-5 hours per nasal dose; daily users describe a steady background effect rather than peaks.
- Cost per month: ≈ €22–54 (researchers' estimate)

## What users report

Enthusiastic r/NooTopics reports: lower GAD and rumination, 'vacation feeling', no sedation, often after 1-2 weeks of daily use. Fewer threads than Selank and a vendor (Everychem) drives much of the discussion, so treat with some caution; perhaps 25-35% feel little.

**Effects:** less rumination about the future; reduced general anxiety; mild mood lift; no sedation or cognitive dulling

**Downsides:** nasal burning (spray); slow onset (1-2 weeks); vertigo after months of use (isolated report); short duration (~4 h)

**Caveat:** Strictly a peptidomimetic, not a classic peptide. No known harm mechanism, but the evidence base is thin and mostly from the developer institute.

**Typical use:** 2-6 mg/day sublingual/oral in divided doses (clinical pilot used 1-6 mg), or 3-5 sprays/day; cycle after a few months.

**Getting it:** Approved in Russia as Ranquilon tablets; elsewhere research-chemical nasal sprays, oral solutions and powder.

**Stacked with:** Selank or NA-Selank (The most discussed pairing for anxiety, used together or situationally.); Modafinil or flmodafinil (Several severe-anxiety users say the combination leaves them energized and able to go out without the stimulant's jitters.); ACD-856 (A common r/NooTopics combination for anxiety plus mood and drive; users note it is hard to tell which compound does what.)

## Risk profile

- **Seen harm 0/3:** A 220-patient double-blind phase III trial and a 200-patient open phase IV trial report only mild adverse events and no SAEs, and the forty first-hand reports describe throat burning, hours of disorientation and vertigo after months, none serious.
- **Mechanism 1/3:** A central CCK-1 receptor antagonist (a dipeptide peptidomimetic) with anxiolytic action; no pathway to serious harm has been described, though the Russian label lists a reversible drop in visual acuity and proteinuria among its adverse reactions.
- **Data gap 1/3:** Approved in Russia as Ranquilon since 2023, with a 220-patient placebo-controlled trial, a 200-patient open trial and small pilots, all four weeks or shorter and co-authored by the developer or manufacturer.
- **Silent harm 1/3:** Reported harms (sedation, disorientation, vertigo) are noticeable and resolved on stopping.
- **Product 2/3:** Outside Russia it is research-chemical nasal spray, oral solution or powder.
- **Never if:** Pregnancy or breastfeeding (label); Under 18 (label)
