Users report
Polarised. Fans report fewer night wakings, feeling rested after shorter sleep and dreams returning, and describe a narrow, person-specific 'sweet spot' dose. Roughly a quarter feel nothing, and wearable data split between more deep sleep and no change. About one in five sleep worse: early waking or paradoxical wakefulness, nightmares, rage, next-day grogginess or nausea. Tolerance within days to weeks is common.
Best effects
Fewer night-time awakenings · feels more rested · vivid/interesting dreams · relaxation after a brief head-pressure
Downsides
Nightmares/vivid dreams · next-day grogginess · head pressure shortly after dosing · nausea (isolated) · inconsistent, U-shaped dose response
Evidence
Small human studies — 1980s-90s insomnia trials, mixed; a 1992 double-blind study found little effect
Caveat
No known harm mechanism; old human studies reported no serious adverse events. FDA's July 2026 panel voted 6-7 against allowing it in compounding, citing missing data rather than a specific harm. Claims of insulin resistance circulate on Reddit without support.
Typical use
100-500 mcg subq 30-60 min before bed; titrate slowly. Users report 250–400 mcg/day (median 250 mcg, n=5).
Getting it
Research-peptide vials and nasal sprays only; an FDA advisory panel voted 6-7 against compounding it in July 2026.

Epitalon: The most common pairing or fallback; several who felt nothing from DSIP report better sleep on Epitalon. · CJC-1295/Ipamorelin or HGH: Growth-hormone boosters taken at bedtime for deep sleep and recovery, which makes it hard to tell which compound did what. · Selank: Taken 30-60 min before DSIP to quiet racing thoughts; reports range from great sleep to nothing.

I would wake up after 6 hours of sleep feeling like I'd gotten 12. Instead of having multiple hours of sleep intertia struggling to get myself moving, I could generally function right away. So far, it's the best peptide I've ever used.
The difference was immediately noticeable. Much higher quality and deeper sleep and I woke up actually feeling rested instead of groggy or half-baked. It was easily the best sleep I’ve had since December last year.

advanced sleep phase disorder; titrated up from 300 mcg
I've got a clinically diagnosed sleep disorder. Have been on about eight or ten pharmaceutical "sleep" drugs. On those drugs my sleep is shallow and not very restful... Then go to bed, and...my sleep is like Jacques Cousteau in the Marianas Trench.
Started with 250mcg, didn't feel much. Last night I took 500mcg and got results. I didn't feel like it helped me get to sleep... But I can say my sleep felt more restful. I feel great this morning.
I know there’s mixed reviews but can report back that the DSIP worked for me. I’m a horrible sleeper, didn’t wake up one time and felt good this morning after a solid 5
Positive
poor sleeper, on an epitalon/pinealon/supplement sleep protocol
Tell me why I had the most vivid dreams of being an old woman last night... But also, I didn’t wake up a single time in nearly 16 hours and I feel incredibly rested.
DSIP is a top 5 peptide for me. It’s one of the few that bring me real, tangible results. I sleep noticeably better and wake up more refreshed when I’m running it.
DSIP rules. Nasal 170mcg/0.1 ml spray, 2-3 sprays 10 min before bedtime. It needs special handling however - its fragile - goes inert after 2 weeks, must be refrigerated and has a paradoxical counter-effect above 700mcg. It increases core sleep and gets me noticeably better rest.

I’m on Reta and hit a point in the past month where my sleep score was in the 40s and 50s - wasn’t getting enough deep sleep... Ever since adding DSIP in, I’ve been in the 65-75 range. My HR isn’t spiking to 90 in my sleep anymore too
The nights I take DSIP, 300 micrograms about an hour before bed, my sleep scores are constantly in the 90s. I get these vivid, cool dreams. Not nightmares. Like 4K dreams. Really good deep sleep. I wake up not groggy at all.
Used DSIP before and it didn’t improve my sleep at all... Added DSIP on top of Lembo and it completely knocked me out... Wanted to wake up but couldn’t Tried to wake my wife and couldn’t Brain wanted to do something, body wouldn’t move
It definitely knocks me out but looking at whoop data, I don't see any more deep or REM sleep than a normal night. And I still have a problem waking up between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m.
It definitely works for getting to sleep. And I never woke up groggy but I ended up with really wild and vivid dreams and the payoff to me isn’t worth it.
Dsip didn’t change my delta sleep pattern, my I watch tracks it and I still only get 45min a night with or without it. 200mcg just makes my dreams more interesting .
Each time I had the worst sleep maintenece ive ever had, had extreme nightmares, and was extremely irritable, unhappy, and unmotivated in the day.
Bad reaction800 mcg · Nasal · 3 doses
usually on daridorexant (Quviviq) for sleep onset; the weeks of fragmented sleep afterwards resolved when Quviviq was stopped, so only the nightmares and mood dip are clearly DSIP
Have taken btw 100 to 250 mcg. At all ranges has been hit or miss. Zilch most often. But once I took 250 and was dysfunctional for 15 hours (prob could have slept but had to wake).
I’m barely tired then after 20 minutes—boom, out like a light... It makes it easier to fall asleep and seemingly easier to stay asleep, but I don’t feel like sleep quality is notably better yet.
The first night I took DSIP was a 500 µg dose before bed and I slept for almost 8 hours which was an adult record for me. Night two I took another 500 µg before bed and I slept 11 hours. New record. 250 µg has not resulted in the same sleep benefits for me.
DSIP is the most useless peptide Ive ever tried and Ive run plenty of them... What I got instead was basically nothing. Maybe a slightly faster time to fall asleep if I was lucky but no real deep sleep boost
Titrated 100→400mcg. Started 2-3x/week (Month 1: zero improvement), then daily till vial finished. No REM or deep sleep gains. Actually caused more mid-night wakeups.

Then I had trouble getting it from the pharmacy and tried DSIP instead. Three attempts. Horrible nightmares, waking throughout the night, irritable and miserable during the day.

Its receptor is unknown; FDA noted an opioid-system mechanism never tested for toxicity or addiction liability, and the IV hypotension hints at a blood-pressure effect. Speculative rather than credible at subcutaneous or nasal doses. FDA PCAC briefing slides on emideltide (DSIP), 24 July 2026 ↗
Each bead is one amino acid in the peptide's chain, coloured by its side chain: grey for non-polar, cyan for polar, blue for positively charged and fuchsia for negatively charged. Length and mix tell related peptides apart at a glance, from a two-residue dipeptide like carnosine to a 43-residue protein like thymosin beta-4. The colours describe chemistry only and predict neither effect nor safety.

Report grades
Every first-hand Reddit or X report is graded on its own, from glowing through positive, mixed, nothing and negative to bad reaction, and the bar shows how those grades split. Posts that look vendor-adjacent stay on the peptide's page but are left out of the counts.
GlowingPositiveMixedNothingNegativeBad reaction
% positive
The share of a peptide's graded Reddit and X reports that are glowing or positive, vendor-adjacent posts left out. A peptide with few reports is pulled toward the average of all reports, as if it had eight average ones besides its own, so two glowing posts cannot top the list. Kept peptides rank by the same reports' mean grade, shrunk the same way, and excluded ones follow in that order.
Researcher estimate
No first-hand report of this peptide has been graded yet, so the figure is the researchers' own rating out of 10 from what they read about it. It ranks alongside the computed scores until reports arrive.
Safety tier
Each peptide is tiered clean, caution or excluded from its five risk axes under the chosen safety bar. An excluded peptide has a plausible route to serious harm, so it stays listed with the reason but ranks behind every other entry, however good its reviews.
Safety bar
The safety bar sets how much risk it takes to exclude a peptide. Strict: out on any serious mechanism with little human data, or any documented serious harm. Balanced: out on documented serious harm (unless it is obvious, reversible and from a regulated product), or a serious mechanism whose harm would be silent with no human data at all. Evidence only: out only on documented serious harm in humans that is lasting, delayed or from grey-market product.
Seen harm
Documented serious adverse events in humans, from 0 for none despite real exposure to 3 for deaths or several well-documented serious harms. Serious means a hospital or emergency visit or harm lasting weeks, so a headache or a bad night does not count.
Mechanism
A plausible biological route to serious harm at the doses people use, such as growth-factor signalling, hormone-axis suppression, heart or blood-pressure effects or immune activation. It runs from 0 when none is known to 3 when a dangerous pathway has been shown in living animals.
Data gap
How little human safety data exists for the molecule actually sold, from 0 for an approved drug with large trials and years of use to 3 for no human safety data at all. A modified analogue does not inherit its parent's trials.
Silent harm
Whether the feared harm would show quickly or stay hidden, from 0 when it is obvious and goes on stopping to 3 when it is silent and delayed, like tumour promotion or slow organ damage. User reports cannot reveal a harm that takes years to appear, so a high score here limits what good reviews can tell you.
Product
The risk of what people actually buy, from 0 for a regulated pharmacy or supplement product taken by mouth or on the skin to 3 for a grey-market injectable. In one dataset of 6,441 grey-market samples, 42–71% failed basic quality criteria and 15% carried endotoxin.
Evidence
The strongest kind of study behind the peptide's effects, from an approved drug through human controlled trials and small human studies to animal work or nothing of its own. Animal results often fail to carry over to people.
Access
How people get it: as an approved drug, a compounded prescription, an over-the-counter supplement or from the grey market, where nobody checks the vial. The channel decides both the legal position and the risk of a bad batch.
Price per month
Thirty days of the typical dose, from its low end to its high end, priced at the listing a careful buyer would choose: in stock, from a shop scoring 4 of 5 on trust (third-party tested where no score is set), failing that 3, a pure pack before a blend, a European shop first, then the cheapest per mg. The range is the dose's, not the shops'. A per-dose amount counts once a day unless the dose says otherwise. Prices are in euros at ECB rates of 2026-10-29, before shipping; the shop table keeps each listing's price per mg, per gram for bulk supplements. Where no listing can be priced the researchers' own estimate stands in, and says so.
Dose users report
The middle half of the daily doses stated in at least five first-hand reports, vendor posts left out. Where its middle sits more than twice above or below the declared dose, the month is priced at it as well, since what people take is what they pay for.
Testing
Whether the shop publishes lab results: third-party tested means an independent lab checks each batch, own COA means the shop's own certificate of analysis, and no public tests means neither. A certificate shows purity, not safety.
Added peptide
Some packs sold under one peptide's name hold a second one, such as 5 mg GHK-Cu in a nasal kit, stated only in the description. Sprayed in the nose or injected it reaches the blood like an injection, so it carries the risk of that route and is tiered as the injectable form, whatever its tier on the skin. A pack whose page gives no contents list may hold more than its name.
