i’m only a week on it, but it’s nothing short of incredible for me rn. tldr: - N-Acetyl Semax Amidate is best - intranasal, 300mcg - once every morning, maybe twice ymmv
I was interested in cognitive benefits like recall, memory, and focus ... Unlike GLPs or NAD+, I didn’t feel immediate effects with these
NothingNasal
tried Semax, NA Semax Amidate, Adamax and Adalank
Users report
Users who like Semax often prefer the NA/amidate form (stronger mood lift, longer). But overdosing is easier: lethargy, discomfort above ~300 mcg, and a few reports of a crash into low mood or anhedonia after 2-3 days. Around 30-40% still report nothing.
Best effects
Stronger, longer focus than plain Semax · uplifted mood · mental calm for monotonous work · stimulant potentiation
Downsides
Lethargy or 'too much espresso' discomfort at higher doses · post-use low mood/anhedonia in a few reports · vivid dreams · headache
Evidence
No studies of its own — For the modified form (parent Semax is approved in Russia)
Caveat
Acetylation/amidation of the same sequence; no specific harm path, but no clinical or tox data on the modified molecule and grey-market only. Rated slightly below Semax for that reason.
Typical use
100-300 mcg/day (lower than plain Semax); short courses. Users report 300–800 mcg/day (median 450 mcg, n=5).
Getting it
Sold only by research-chemical vendors as pre-mixed nasal sprays or vials; no approved or compounded version.
Stacked with
NA-Selank-Amidate: The most common pairing, both taken in the morning; Selank is meant to blunt the anxiety and irritability NA-Semax can bring. · Caffeine, modafinil or methylphenidate: Users say it amplifies stimulants noticeably; several end up cutting their caffeine because of it. · Bromantane: Popular on r/NooTopics for drive and motivation; reported as a good pairing, without trial data.

For me, Semax produces a very smooth nootropic feel that kicks in within minutes and lasts all day. My mind feels very sharp when I’m on it, and cognitive tasks are less mentally taxing than usual.
Positive300-600 mcg/day · 6 months intermittently
NA Semax (not amidated), stacked with NA Selank, caffeine, sabroxy
I've been taking NA-semax on/off for a week now. It's a surprisingly effective painkiller, comparable to aspirin. Taking a high dose (~1mg) definitely makes me feel different (high/elated?); only side effect of note is dry mouth.
The amidate version is more mental for me, like a calming uplift, better for monotonous tasks like sitting at computer. They also both seem to amplify the effects of the modafinils and methylphenidate.
PositiveNasal
used both NA-Semax and NA-Semax-Amidate; prefers plain NA for mood
Feeling wise, they are identical. Just the na versions last longer. Like 8 hours or more for the na versions Vs the normal versions like 4-5 I think. Semax for focus and drive / attention
On one occasion I used a little over 1mg total within the span of two hours and it felt like a cleaner version of traditional stimulants that leaned more towards creativity and calm introspection as opposed to physical stimulation
Positive3-4 sprays (~600-800 mcg), once ~1 mg · Nasal
N-Acetyl Semax. This peptide gives me a serious cognitive edge — especially when I’m learning something new. I notice a huge difference when I’m on it vs. when I’m not.
Semax Gave me a working in the background ÿfeeling.Lightly stimulated. Great with adderall. NA Semax was more stimulating and significantly stronger. This one is the business.
I just did an 8 week cycle of 300mcg of both semax amidate and selank amidate five days a week. It’s incredible how well they work. Focus at work and life was another level. Does cause anxiety to go up and sometimes troubles falling asleep.
Positive300 mcg/day, 5 days a week · Injection · 8 weeks
Tried them all intranasally off and on for years and didn’t notice a difference between the sources or the type of semax/selank. I know that they were working, I just didn’t notice a difference between any of the different versions.

compared NA, Adamax and plain Semax from three vendors
I feel unusually strong in the gym today (given I’m over 7 weeks into my 6 week cut) The only recent changes I’ve made to my protocol is: -Addition of mineral supplementation, copper, Mg chloride, and zinc bisglycinate -N-acetyl semax amidate intranasally
If you like the effects of higher dosages but find the possible accompanying anxiogenic effects off putting, selank and l-theanine can smooth things out. Also, the amidated version is worth trying - much smoother and more “nootropic” IMO.
Their spray is 9mg/spray and I usually use 2-3 in the morning, though have mixed it up with another spray, done 10 before, and had an awesome day. I like both Semax and NA Semax Amidate nasal spray, yea.
after about 2 months of semax I was down to one cup of coffee or about 80mgs in the morning. Any more would make my heart rate in the 110 to 120 range just sitting at a desk plus mild anxiety. I have been off for about a month now and I’m still sensitive to caffeine
Weird but I’m a singer, and I’ve noticed a harder time reaching notes and sounding off key since starting NA-Semax Definitely improves my mood, focus and motivation and general energy though. Bit of insomnia
If I'm being honest, when I took NA-Semax-amidate, it felt like I was just manifesting the positive side effects through expectation aka placebo. Was never really sure if it was actually "working".
Tried nasal NA semax and it only would give me the most amazing and vivid multi-layered dreams. Subq semax i dont even get that. Doubled the dosage and still nothing
I usually respond well to acetylated versions so went NA. Been awhile. Worked up to 200-300 mcg at a time. Did that multiple times across one day without noticeable effects and called it.
Selank helped slightly with mood/depression/sleep, Semax helped slightly with mood and memory, but neither were strong enough for me to want to take/pay for again
Day 5, no morning Semax. There are feelings of low mood, low energy, wanting to hibernate, to the point at 4pm, 100mg Semax per nostril (200mcg total) was taken to find relief, which helped about 50%.
NegativeEnergy · 300-800 mcg/day · Injection · 5 days
NA Semax gave me energy, focus and a mood boost for two days, then gave me serious depression and anhedonia the third day onwards. But I believe NA is stronger.
I really love how NA Semax Amidate 1-2mg intranasal for a week straight has sped up the rate of how fast i type sentences out with like 20%, verbal fluency also has improved even more.
from my experience and some friends who’ve been using Semax Amidate, it’s mostly positive, better focus, mood, and mental clarity. Downsides are really minor, like occasional mild headaches or slight irritability if overused.
Each bead is one amino acid in the peptide's chain, coloured by its side chain: grey for non-polar, cyan for polar, blue for positively charged and fuchsia for negatively charged. Length and mix tell related peptides apart at a glance, from a two-residue dipeptide like carnosine to a 43-residue protein like thymosin beta-4. The colours describe chemistry only and predict neither effect nor safety.

Report grades
Every first-hand Reddit or X report is graded on its own, from glowing through positive, mixed, nothing and negative to bad reaction, and the bar shows how those grades split. Posts that look vendor-adjacent stay on the peptide's page but are left out of the counts.
GlowingPositiveMixedNothingNegativeBad reaction
% positive
The share of a peptide's graded Reddit and X reports that are glowing or positive, vendor-adjacent posts left out. A peptide with few reports is pulled toward the average of all reports, as if it had eight average ones besides its own, so two glowing posts cannot top the list. Kept peptides rank by the same reports' mean grade, shrunk the same way, and excluded ones follow in that order.
Researcher estimate
No first-hand report of this peptide has been graded yet, so the figure is the researchers' own rating out of 10 from what they read about it. It ranks alongside the computed scores until reports arrive.
Safety tier
Each peptide is tiered clean, caution or excluded from its five risk axes under the chosen safety bar. An excluded peptide has a plausible route to serious harm, so it stays listed with the reason but ranks behind every other entry, however good its reviews.
Safety bar
The safety bar sets how much risk it takes to exclude a peptide. Strict: out on any serious mechanism with little human data, or any documented serious harm. Balanced: out on documented serious harm (unless it is obvious, reversible and from a regulated product), or a serious mechanism whose harm would be silent with no human data at all. Evidence only: out only on documented serious harm in humans that is lasting, delayed or from grey-market product.
Seen harm
Documented serious adverse events in humans, from 0 for none despite real exposure to 3 for deaths or several well-documented serious harms. Serious means a hospital or emergency visit or harm lasting weeks, so a headache or a bad night does not count.
Mechanism
A plausible biological route to serious harm at the doses people use, such as growth-factor signalling, hormone-axis suppression, heart or blood-pressure effects or immune activation. It runs from 0 when none is known to 3 when a dangerous pathway has been shown in living animals.
Data gap
How little human safety data exists for the molecule actually sold, from 0 for an approved drug with large trials and years of use to 3 for no human safety data at all. A modified analogue does not inherit its parent's trials.
Silent harm
Whether the feared harm would show quickly or stay hidden, from 0 when it is obvious and goes on stopping to 3 when it is silent and delayed, like tumour promotion or slow organ damage. User reports cannot reveal a harm that takes years to appear, so a high score here limits what good reviews can tell you.
Product
The risk of what people actually buy, from 0 for a regulated pharmacy or supplement product taken by mouth or on the skin to 3 for a grey-market injectable. In one dataset of 6,441 grey-market samples, 42–71% failed basic quality criteria and 15% carried endotoxin.
Evidence
The strongest kind of study behind the peptide's effects, from an approved drug through human controlled trials and small human studies to animal work or nothing of its own. Animal results often fail to carry over to people.
Access
How people get it: as an approved drug, a compounded prescription, an over-the-counter supplement or from the grey market, where nobody checks the vial. The channel decides both the legal position and the risk of a bad batch.
Price per month
Thirty days of the typical dose, from its low end to its high end, priced at the listing a careful buyer would choose: in stock, from a shop scoring 4 of 5 on trust (third-party tested where no score is set), failing that 3, a pure pack before a blend, a European shop first, then the cheapest per mg. The range is the dose's, not the shops'. A per-dose amount counts once a day unless the dose says otherwise. Prices are in euros at ECB rates of 2026-10-29, before shipping; the shop table keeps each listing's price per mg, per gram for bulk supplements. Where no listing can be priced the researchers' own estimate stands in, and says so.
Dose users report
The middle half of the daily doses stated in at least five first-hand reports, vendor posts left out. Where its middle sits more than twice above or below the declared dose, the month is priced at it as well, since what people take is what they pay for.
Testing
Whether the shop publishes lab results: third-party tested means an independent lab checks each batch, own COA means the shop's own certificate of analysis, and no public tests means neither. A certificate shows purity, not safety.
Added peptide
Some packs sold under one peptide's name hold a second one, such as 5 mg GHK-Cu in a nasal kit, stated only in the description. Sprayed in the nose or injected it reaches the blood like an injection, so it carries the risk of that route and is tiered as the injectable form, whatever its tier on the skin. A pack whose page gives no contents list may hold more than its name.
